New Wildflower Meadow

With permission granted by Northumberland County Council and huge assistance from Cramlington Town Council, Friends of Valley Park have begun developing a mini wildflower meadow on the east side of the field, just beyond the apple tree orchard. The meadow area has been sown with both annual and perennial wildflowers, which should start to germinate in a few weeks time before flowering in midsummer. The native flowers will attract bees, butterflies and many other pollinators and add a splash of colour to the field. In the long term, the meadow will be managed by volunteers to ensure the flowers bloom year after year.
